Gutloff, the appellant, was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County of possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of marijuana, second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and negligent driving. The court sentenced him to seven years' incarceration for second-degree assault, with all but 50 days suspended in favor of five years' probation; consecutive sentences of two and one years respectively for resisting...
