Petitioner, Dwayne Antonio Peaks ("Peaks") was convicted of multiple offenses following a jury trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Peaks argues that the trial judge did not make an adequate determination of Peaks's competency to stand trial under Md.Code (1974, 2008 Repl.Vol.), § 3-104 of the Criminal Procedure Article. Section § 3-104 states:
