On July 9, 2007, appellant Lamont Whaley was tried by a jury in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County for his alleged involvement in the attempted armed robbery of Higimio Mendez-Roque. At the time of the alleged incident, Whaley was 16 years and four months old.
