HANLON, J.

The defendant appeals from a Superior Court judgment and order of commitment finding that he is a sexually dangerous person (SDP). See G. L. c. 123A, § 14(d). We affirm.

Background. On August 7, 1987, the defendant, who was twenty-five years old at the time, vaginally and anally raped a seventy-two year old woman after manipulating his way into the Revere apartment where she was staying with her son.2
