On April 30, 2003, Robert LeSage filed a petition pursuant to G. L. c. 123A, § 9, claiming that he is no longer a sexually dangerous person, and seeking release from his civil commitment to the Massachusetts Treatment Center (treatment center). A jury returned a verdict stating that the petitioner remained a sexually dangerous person as defined by G. L. c. 123A, § 9.
