This appeal arises out of a mandamus proceeding through which the Clerk of Court for Orleans Parish was directed to cancel a statement of claim filed under La. R.S. 38:2241 et seq. of the Public Works Act (the "Act"). For the reasons that follow, we affirm and remand.
