The defendant, Robert Stephen Baillio, was charged by bill of information with carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1, and possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine), a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967. He pled guilty as charged. For the concealed weapon conviction, the defendant was sentenced to serve 10 years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole...
