Plaintiff, Uletom Hewitt, appeals the trial court's judgment in favor of Defendant, Lafayette Municipal Fire & Police Civil Service Board. For the following reasons, the trial court's denial of Hewitt's request for the issuance of a writ of mandamus is reversed. This matter is remanded to the trial court with an order to issue the writ of mandamus prayed for by Hewitt in his Petition for Writ of Mandamus.
