MOORE, J.

The defendant, Marcellus Adams, was indicted by a grand jury on the charge of second degree murder for the death of Michael Blackshire. Following trial, a unanimous jury found the defendant guilty as charged. The court sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. He now appeals both his conviction and sentence. For the following reasons, we affirm.
