Defendant, Reynard Joseph Gregoire, was charged by bill of information with one count of domestic abuse battery by strangulation, a violation of La. R.S. 14:35.3(B)(3) (count one), and two counts of attempted first degree murder, violations of La. R.S. 14:27 and 14:30(A)(2) (counts two and three). He pled not guilty. Following a jury trial, defendant was found guilty of the responsive offense of domestic abuse battery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:35.3(A)...
