This is a Jones Act case wherein the Plaintiff, Wendy Thibodeaux, sued Defendant, the State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development, for damages arising from a personal injury she sustained while cleaning up oil on a state-owned ferry boat. The trial court denied Defendant's motion for summary judgment and granted Plaintiff's motion for partial summary judgment.
