Defendant Patrick R. Davis was found guilty of issuing worthless checks to Horseshoe Casino ("the Horseshoe") in the amounts of $100,000 and $150,000 in violation of La. R.S. 14:71. He was sentenced to six years at hard labor with all but one year suspended. Upon his release, Defendant was ordered to serve five years of supervised probation, to pay restitution to the Horseshoe in the amount of $215,000 and to pay a fine of $1,000, in addition to other standard...
