Winford Jay Moore was tried by jury and convicted of aggravated rape of a child under 13. La. R.S. 14:42(A)(4). He appeals his conviction and life sentence upon the sole ground of ineffective assistance of counsel. We affirm.

I. PRETRIAL CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS

• On October 8, 2009, the defendant was arrested for aggravated rape.

• On January 21, 2010, he was charged by bill of information with sexual battery of a child...
