We granted the state's application to consider the Third Circuit's decision reversing defendant's conviction and sentence for armed robbery in violation of La.R.S. 14:64. State v. Oliphant, 13-473 (La.App. 3 Cir. 11/20/13), 127 So.3d 91 (unpub'd). For the reasons that follow, the court of appeal's decision is reversed in part and affirmed in part. The case is remanded...
