The defendant, Steven Dominick, appeals the judgment of the trial court denying his motion for a downward departure from a previously agreed ten year sentence. We find no error in the trial court's denial of this motion. However, we find that the trial court erred in failing to impose a mandatory fine pursuant to La. R.S. 14:81.1(E)(1)(a). As such, we affirm the defendant's conviction and sentence and remand the matter to the trial...
