Shounda Edwards was charged by the district attorney with the aggravated battery of Shantell Williams. Following a bench trial, she was found guilty of second degree battery. Ms. Edwards was sentenced to three years imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections. Ms. Edwards now appeals her conviction and sentence.
