The defendant, Kedrick Johnson, appeals from his adjudication and sentence as a third felony offender. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

The defendant was charged by bill of information with battery of a police officer while in custody, a violation of La. R.S. 14:34.2(B)(2). On September 16, 2010, a jury found him guilty as charged. On October 4, 2010, the State filed a multiple bill charging the defendant as a second felony...
