Defendant, Everett Charles Wills, Jr., was indicted for second degree murder of Carlos Guster, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. A jury found Wills guilty as charged. The mandatory sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence was imposed. Wills now appeals his conviction and sentence.
