The defendant, Anthony Paul Johnson, was charged by grand jury indictment with second degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. After a jury trial, the defendant was found guilty as charged. The defendant's motion for new trial was denied. The trial court sentenced defendant to serve life imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
