The defendants, Deloyd "Puggy" Jones ("Jones") and Alton "Peewee" Augustin ("Augustin"), were each charged and convicted of two counts of attempted second degree murder and were each sentenced to forty years at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence, on each count, with the sentences to be served consecutively as to each defendant.
