This case involves a dispute over the ownership of 800 shares of stock in Buffman, Inc., a family-owned corporation that operated St. Rita's Nursing Home ("St. Rita's") in St. Bernard Parish. Following a trial, the trial court determined plaintiff, Anthony Buffone, had ratified the issuance of the 800 shares of stock to his sister, Mabel Mangano, and rendered a judgment accordingly.
