The defendant, Kenneth Truman Roberts, Jr., was charged by bill of information with one count of simple kidnapping of a person sixty-five years of age or older, violations of La. R.S. 14:45 and La. R.S. 14:50.2, and pled not guilty. Following a jury trial, he was found guilty as charged.
