Defendant, James R. Francis, appeals his conviction and sentence on the charge of second degree murder. For the following reasons, we affirm Defendant's conviction and sentence and further order the trial court to inform Defendant of the correct prescriptive period of La.Code Crim.P. art. 930.8 by sending appropriate written notice to Defendant within ten days of the rendition of this opinion and to file written proof that Defendant received the notice...
