On March 4, 2004, the State charged Norman Pete with two counts of forcible rape, violations of La. R.S. 14:42.1, and one count of second degree kidnapping, a violation of La. R.S. 14:44.1. Pete pled not guilty at his arraignment on March 9, 2004. On April 21, 2004, the trial court found probable cause and denied Pete's motion to suppress the identification.

On January 14, 2008, the trial court denied his motions to quash the bill...
