The plaintiffs allege that their car struck a cow on the road, causing injuries to the driver and the passenger of the car. The plaintiffs filed suit against the farmer who owned the cow, the usufructuary who granted the farmer a pasture lease on the property from which the cow escaped, the naked owners of that property, and various insurance companies. Four of the five naked owners filed motions for summary judgment, arguing that they had no liability...
