This is a contractor fraud criminal case in which the defendant, Gentry Major, was charged with theft in the amount of $500 or more, in violation of La. R.S. 14:67(A). Seeking review of the district court's decision granting Mr. Major's oral motion to quash the bill of information, the State of Louisiana appeals. For the reasons that follow, we reverse and remand.
