STATE v. McKENZIE

No. 12-KA-277.

105 So.3d 959 (2012)

STATE of Louisiana v. Centeria N. McKENZIE.

Court of Appeal of Louisiana, Fifth Circuit.

November 27, 2012.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Paul D. Connick, Jr. , District Attorney, Terry M. Boudreaux , Juliet L. Clark , Assistant District Attorneys, Gretna, LA, for Plaintiff/Appellee.

Gwendolyn K. Brown , Attorney at Law, Louisiana Appellate Project, Baton Rouge, LA, for Defendant/Appellant.

Panel composed of Judges SUSAN M. CHEHARDY, JUDE G. GRAVOIS, and MARC E. JOHNSON.

JUDE G. GRAVOIS, Judge.

In this Crosby1 appeal, defendant, Centeria McKenzie, appeals her conviction for forgery. On appeal, she argues that the trial court erred in denying her motion to quash the bill of information filed against her because of the State's failure to timely prosecute her. Finding no error or abuse of discretion in the trial court's ruling under review, we affirm defendant's conviction.
