The plaintiffs in this class action filed suit, alleging that they had suffered personal injuries and property damage as a result of driving through used motor oil which was accidentally released onto Louisiana Highway 27 by the defendant. After a hearing, the trial court denied the plaintiffs' motion for class certification, finding that the plaintiffs had not satisfied the numerosity requirement. The plaintiffs appeal.
