Corporal Chris Cooper (Cooper) testified that he went to 1505 Huffman Street on August 7, 2008, after police received numerous complaints about drug activity at that address. According to his testimony, upon arrival at the residence, police observed Michael Wayne Collins (Defendant) sitting on the porch. His leg was in a boot as he was recovering from a gunshot wound.
