David Malcolm Hill ("Hill") was convicted at bench trial of aggravated assault, a violation of La. R.S. 14:37. He was sentenced to pay a fine of $250.00 and court costs, or in default to serve 10 days in jail. The trial court delayed the execution of sentence pending the filing of a writ with this Court.
