Defendant Melanie Small was charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics, methamphetamine, with intent to distribute, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(A), and two counts of possession of Schedule IV narcotics, violations of La. R.S. 40:969(C). In exchange for the dismissal of the Schedule IV charges, the defendant agreed to plead guilty to attempted possession of Schedule II narcotics, methamphetamine, with intent to distribute.
