Defendant, Troy K. Guidera, was charged by amended bill of information with one count of fourth-offense driving while intoxicated (DWI), a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:98 E, and he entered a plea of not guilty.1 After a jury trial, defendant was found guilty as charged. The trial court denied defendant's motion for new trial, and it sentenced defendant to serve a period of 20 years at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation...
