Following an incident where Defendant, Kenneth Bell, Sr., stabbed the victim, Lalisa Harris, nine times with a knife, the State charged him with attempted second degree murder. Following a trial, the jury returned a verdict of attempted second degree manslaughter. The trial judge sentenced Defendant to twenty years at hard labor, the maximum sentence.
