Plaintiffs, Ellie and Steven Melancon, and defendant, Tri-Dyne Tele-Pier, L.L.C. ("Tri-Dyne"), appeal the trial court's July 29, 2011 judgment awarding $39,016.50 to plaintiffs, as well as expert fees of $3,225.00 and court costs. For the following reasons, we reverse and vacate the award of $39,016.50 and we remand to the trial court for further proceedings.
