This appeal concerns the trial court's grant of defendant's motion to quash a bill of information based on the State's failure to timely bring him to trial pursuant to La.C.Cr.P. art. 578. For the reasons that follow, we reverse the trial court's ruling and remand this matter for further proceedings.
