On January 7, 2009, defendant, Gerard M. Howard, pled guilty to one count of manslaughter, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:31.1 He was sentenced to 35 years of imprisonment at hard labor. Defendant was granted an out-of-time appeal. For the foregoing reasons, we affirm defendant's conviction and sentence.
