Defendant, Joseph Savoy, was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, a violation of La.R.S. 14:44, at a bench trial on July 26, 2011. He was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence, consecutive to any other sentences he was already serving. This was Defendant's eighth felony; he was previously convicted of obscenity, simple burglary (twice), molestation of a juvenile, first degree robbery...
