Court of Appeal of Louisiana, Fourth Circuit.

February 29, 2012.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Leon A. Cannizzaro, Jr. , District Attorney of Orleans Parish, Matthew Caplan , Assistant District Attorney of Orleans Parish, New Orleans, LA, for State of Louisiana.

(Court composed of Judge JAMES F. McKAY III, Judge TERRI F. LOVE, Judge DANIEL L. DYSART).

JAMES F. McKAY III, Judge.

Curtis Williams appeals his convictions and sentences for attempted second degree murder and aggravated burglary, asserting: (1) the trial court erred by admitting evidence of other crimes; (2) the evidence was insufficient to support his convictions; and (3) the court erred by imposing excessive, consecutive sentences. We affirm his convictions and remand the matter for resentencing consistent with this opinion.
