At issue in this appeal from a summary judgment is the validity of a waiver of uninsured/underinsured motorist ("UM") coverage on behalf of the Bossier Parish Police Jury (hereafter the "police jury"). The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the police jury's liability insurer, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company ("St. Paul") and dismissed the claims of the plaintiffs, Richard and Betty Gunter ("the Gunters"), against it.
