On June 11, 2007, Robin Malta was discovered bludgeoned to death in his apartment at 634 Port Street in New Orleans. Subsequently, the defendant, Mark Ott, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Mr. Malta. At his arraignment, the defendant pled not guilty.
