The defendant, Larry John Snyder, Jr., was charged by grand jury indictment with second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. He pleaded not guilty. At the conclusion of a jury trial, defendant was convicted as charged. Defendant moved for a new trial and for a post-verdict judgment of acquittal. The trial court denied both motions.
