Defendant/appellant, Jacque Nailor ("Nailor"), has filed this appeal seeking review of his convictions on two counts of criminal acts and the respective sentences. Nailor was charged in Count 1 with aggravated battery in violation of La. R.S. 14:34, and in Count 2 with aggravated assault with a firearm in violation of La. R.S. 14:37.4. Nailor was arraigned, in absentia, and a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf. In due course...
