WILLIAMS, J.

The defendant, Joshua Shipp, was charged by bill of information with one count of felony theft of $500 or more, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant pled guilty to the felony theft charge and the state agreed to dismiss other pending charges. The district court sentenced defendant to serve seven years at hard labor, with all but one year of his sentence suspended, and placed him on five years of supervised probation...
