The defendant, Jason M. Davillier, was found guilty of one count of aggravated burglary, one count of attempted aggravated burglary, and one count of attempted illegal use of a dangerous weapon. He was sentenced to serve 20 years at hard labor for the aggravated burglary conviction, 10 years at hard labor for the attempted aggravated burglary conviction, and one year at hard labor for the attempted illegal use of a weapon conviction.
