The defendant, Jose M. Delvalle, Jr.,1 pled guilty pursuant to State v. Crosby, 338 So.2d 584 (La.1976), to the charge of attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The trial court sentenced him to serve seven years at hard labor and to pay a fine of $1,000.
