Defendant, Patrick Wade, was charged by bill of information with one count of armed robbery, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. He pled not guilty at arraignment. At the conclusion of trial on May 12, 2010, a jury found defendant guilty as charged.

On June 17, 2010, the trial court sentenced defendant to 99 years in the Department of Corrections, to be served without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. The State...
