PATRICIA RIVET MURRAY, Judge.

The defendant, Wayne P. Wilson, appeals his conviction of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the conviction, but vacate the sentence on account of an error patent and remand to the trial court for resentencing.
