The defendant, Javontae Drake, was convicted of one count of aggravated burglary and one count of forcible rape. He was sentenced to 30 years' imprisonment at hard labor for the aggravated burglary conviction, and 40 years' imprisonment at hard labor, with the first 20 years to be served without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence, for the forcible rape conviction.
