The defendant, Robert Friday, was charged by grand jury indictment with aggravated rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42 (count 1); attempted forcible rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42.1 and 14:27 (count 2); and three counts of molestation of a juvenile, violations of La. R.S. 14:81.2 (counts 3-5).
