The defendant, Johnny Manuel Polanco, burglarized the same convenience store two times in 2008. He was charged with two counts of simple burglary, a violation of La.R.S. 14:62. Mr. Polanco pled guilty to both counts of simple burglary in exchange for dismissals of various other charges.
